How to play
- 1The answer is a 2-syllable Korean word written with 5 letters (jamo), such as 사랑 = ㅅ ㅏ ㄹ ㅏ ㅇ (love).
- 2Type 5 jamo and press Enter. Your guess must form two real Hangul blocks, but it doesn't have to be a real word, so you can test letters freely.
- 3Read the colors: green means the right letter in the right spot, yellow means it's in the word in another spot, gray means it's not in the word.
How Hangul letters build a syllable
Every Korean syllable block starts with a consonant, then a vowel, and sometimes ends with a final consonant (받침, batchim). 가 is ㄱ + ㅏ; 강 is ㄱ + ㅏ + ㅇ. A 5-letter answer is always one short block and one block with a final consonant, either 가+강 or 강+가.

Do I need to know Korean?
No. Beginners can use the hint (it shows the English meaning) and the letter table above. After each game you see the word with its romanization and meaning, so you learn one word a day.
Why are some letters split?
The puzzle counts basic letters, so 사랑 is ㅅ ㅏ ㄹ ㅏ ㅇ. Words with combined vowels like ㅘ or double final consonants are not used as answers.
